The traditional sweets of India(South Asia) have different variety just like the different colours and species of flowers produced in a garden or fruits of different species. These sweets if checked by their taste and colour show how differs one from another and how rich and delicate in manner and taste defining the richness of the culture. Now is needed one to recognise the taste and enjoy the delicacy and charm of these sweets like 'Rasgula', 'Gulab jamen', 'Barfi' and 'Pateesa' etc.
My uncle is fond of these sweets and whenever I used to go to village he used to ask if I had brought sweets. Then I made it my practice to certainly get a pack of sweets for uncle in every visit . That was a long journey upto village and I used to get the pack in my lap so that the soft and clumsy sweets might not get damaged. I then noticed that those sweets were not treated according to their worth. For the last when I gave such a pack to my uncle he kept that in cupboard and when a relative from the village came to meet him he put tea before him and asked to eat sweets also. Thus the pack was opened and served to him. In a few quick morsels he ate three and a half of the sweets and left the half piece of the fourth one saying that that one was not liked by him. By then I started to take biscuits from the bakery of the nearby town to fill bellies.
